Mold is one of the main dangers that you can face inside your household.

It’s a major health concern that worries health experts worldwide due to its silent nature and symptoms that are easy to mistake for other more common health problems.

That’s why knowing how to identify the problem, and then, learning how to detox your body from mold is so important.

If you’re constantly fatigued, sneezing, experiencing itchy nose and throat, etc., then there is a decent chance that you might have a mold problem in your house.

In this article, I’m going to share with you how to detox your body from mold, as well as some mold detoxification tips for your home. 

So, let’s get started!

Now, before you can learn how to detox your body from mold, you need to learn how to first get rid of what causes the problem. 

That’s why you really need to read everything in this article up to the very end!

A mold problem can quickly escalate into something serious and complex.

Black mold is the one that spreads inside the walls of your house, and releases mycotoxins that attack your mitochondria, causing harm to your body’s cells, and affecting the regular overall functioning of your body.

This unfortunately leads to all sorts of symptoms that you can see below.

That’s why the first step that you need to do is to learn about the symptoms.  Then, you need to find out where the mold is coming from (where it’s located), and how to get rid of it.

Finally, I’ll show you how to detox your body.   Now, you can either detoxify your body from mold in a slow (yet efficient)  method, or you can do it a bit faster with the right supplements.

So, if you want to completely detoxify yourself from toxic mold spores, keep reading below to find out everything you need to know and detox your body from mold once and for all!

Mold Intoxication Symptoms

Mold related problems affect millions of households throughout the whole country. They affect mainly your respiratory system and brain function. The latter is usually a surprise to most people, but it’s also an important warning of how dangerous this can be.

  • Sneezing
  • Insomnia
  • Allergies
  • Cough
  • Watery Eyes
  • Skin Irritation
  • Asthma
  • Weight Gain
  • Anxiety
  • Memory Problems

These are just a few of the possible symptoms since many others have also being reported.  As you can now imagine, this is not something to be taken lightly.  Mold can be toxic and even deadly.

Although some of these symptoms are only manifested after a long period of exposure of mycotoxins affecting your body, it’s something that’ll eventually happen if you’re not paying attention, and toxic molds are present.

What is the Most Common Symptom of Mold Intoxication?

Now, the most common symptom is physical fatigue. If you feel tired all the time, with way less energy than you usually have, it’s not only possible that you’re suffering from mold intoxication, but it’s actually very likely!

The only way to fix the problem is to get rid of the mold and detox your body from mycotoxin.

And, that’s exactly what you’re going to be able to do after reading the rest of this article.  Let’s first start with how to get rid of mold.  If you don’t do this first, you’ll treat the symptom but not the disease. The problem will eventually come back.

How to Remove The Mold Source From Your House

The first thing to do when dealing with mold is to remove the source from your house.  The reason is simple.  As long as there’s more mold available to release the toxins in the air, you’ll have mold-related issues.

To remove mold from your home, you need to assess the situation to know whether or not you can do this yourself, or if you’ll have to hire a professional mold removal company.

Now, in order to successfully remove mold from your environment, you need to know which locations are most likely to have mold spores growing out of.

Look for mold in the following areas of your house.

  • Near cooling and heating devices
  • Under the kitchen and bathroom sink
  • Close to the shower or bathtub
  • In the corner of rooms with high humidity levels
  • Under the carpet
  • Inside the walls
  • Anywhere else that has excessive moisture (Think leaky pipes, or unsealed windows)

These are just the most common places for you to look for mold, but they can grow out of other areas too.

Look for not only black spots, but also brown, beige, and bluish-green spots on the walls.

Once you find the sources of mold, you can start to remove them. The methods of removing toxic mold will vary, but in most cases you can use a combination of water and bleach. Just be careful with your eyes and nose.

Watch Out For The Dangers of Mold In Your Bathroom

Your bathroom deserves a section of its own because it’s the most common place to get mold in your house! 

The reason for this, is that the bathroom is usuaully cold, is more likely to have leaking pipes, and is usually somewhat damp.

This makes it the ideal place for mold to grow.

The best way to fight bathroom mold is to look for any dark spots in the tiles, under the sink, close to the window sill, or near the shower.  Always make sure to clean the whole bathroom, paying close attentionto these areas for mold spores. 

Then, do a double, and even triple check to be absolutely sure!

So, be sure to especially watch out for the dangers in your bathroom, as it’s by far the most common breeding ground.  Just remember that you should only remove mold yourself when it covers  less than three square feet.

If it’s larger than 3 square feet in surface area, then you should seriously consider getting an expert to do it for you.

The spores that the mold release are highly toxic to humans, and when disturbed, create an even greater risk via mold particles being released into the air, and easily inhaled into the lungs.

No matter what you do, always wear goggles, gloves, and an n-95 mask to be safe!

Mold-Free Diet? Make Sure What You Eat Is Mold Free! (Mold Detoxification Time)

Now that your house is mold-free, it’s time to begin your body’s mold detoxification process.  It’s not easy or fast to acheive, but your body will be in a much better position of health afterwards.

The first thing to do is to make sure that the food and drinks you consume are mold-free.

You should not only check that your food is fresh but also healthy.  Avoid red meat for a while.  (I know that may be hard to digest for my fellow carnivores – no pun intended)

Look for fresh vegetables and lean meats for a few weeks.

This will allow your body to recover better and more efficiently.

It’s also always a good idea to check your pantry since oftentimes mold is present there too. Coffee beans are another thing to avoid for a while. They contain a small portion of mycotoxins themselves and will slow down your body’s mold detoxification process.

So, once you do start eating healthier food for a while, you should get started on removing the mycotoxins from your body.

Remember that these mycotoxins cause fatigue, mental disorder, impairment in your cognitive functions such as memory, and they’re terrible for your respiratory system.

In other words, stick to a STRICT healthy diet during this process!

How to Detox Your Body from Mold & Remove Mycotoxins From Your Body With Supplements

The most efficient way to remove mycotoxins from your body is by using the aid of supplements.

Of course, you have to remove the mold source first, but then, you should use supplements to help you finish the job.

You can try it out a few supplements, but there’s a list that you shouldn’t skip.

Binders are probably at the top of the list because they’re crucial for a complete detox.

Once the mycotoxins take over your liver, they’re excreted through the bile into the intestine.

Then, they go back to your circulatory system, unless they’re bound to binders. They make sure that you release the toxins from your body through the feces.

Just be careful since binders can cause constipation and bloating.  Bentonite clay is a great option of binder to use against mycotoxins. It’s the perfect choice for a complete detox of your body.

How to Detox Your Body from Mold with Activated Charcoal – An Efficient Solution

Activated charcoals have been used by doctors for various toxin poisonings throughout the years, so it’s not only safe to use but it will also get you great results.  You can activated charcoal in capsule form. Just make sure that it’s safe to use in conjunction with other medications if you’re currently taking any. 

Ask your doctor before attempting this method to be on the safe side.

Now, what activated charcoal actually does is react to the mycotoxins that are already in the body, and forces them out of your system.

Again, you must remove the source of these mycotoxins and eat a clean healthy diet for the treatments to work properly / be successful.

So, if you don’t want to try binders at first, check out activated charcoal.  The good thing about it, is that there’s a lot of studies on the use of it for removing toxins from the body.  It’s also generally safe to use. 

Once again (I must stress this) just make sure it’s okay to use in case you’re taking any specific medication.  Ask your doctor, and do extensive research.

How to Detox Your Body From Mold via Natural Body Detoxifying Supplements (Detoxification with Probiotics)

Another thing that you can do is try something more natural. Remember that the disadvantage of something completely natural is that it’ll always take longer to work than a supplement.

Still, if that’s what you want, try probiotics.

They’re present in various food groups, but especially in fermented drinks.

What you can do is to make sure that you take these fermented drinks once or twice throughout your day, and see if you notice improvements in your system.  It’ll take at least a month for you to notice anything, but it can be worth the shot.

The important thing is that as long as you do something, it’s better than doing nothing.

Mycotoxins are serious and can cause serious damages to your body, especially brain function.

They take a long time to present as serious symptoms, but when they do, they wreak havoc your system.

How to Detox Your Body From Mold: Final Thoughts…

So, this (in a nutshell) is how to detox your body from mold.

First, make sure that you remove the source of toxic mold spores from your house.   Then, look for it in the most common places which I listed above.

Next, watch out, and pay close attention to what you eat and drink to start detoxifying your body of mold. (Eat a super healthy natural / clean diet)

Finally, add in supplements like binders and activated charcoal to speed up the process. (This is probably your best bet.)

Always speak with a licensed physician before trying any of these methods, just to be on the safe side.
