How Does The Mind MD Broad Spectrum Cognitive Support Supplement Work?

On their website, the mechanism of this nootropic supplement is tied to a timeline.

Here’s how it’ll work:

First Month:

The first month is all about targeting cognitive function and memory enhancement. This supplement will optimize your mind with the help of neurotransmitter regulation to help you learn and perform better day by day.

Second Month:

After 30 days, you’ll notice an improvement in the ‘acoustic startle response’.

The acoustic startle response is a reflex action or something that the body will ‘jerk’ up to upon hearing a loud sound! It depicts the sensitivity of humans to sound.

Someone who is easily provoked or ‘startled’ upon hearing a high pitched sound is said to have a sensitive acoustic reflex – this is an indicator of anxiety and stress.

Third Month:

You would have now achieved a serene state of mind along with improved memory skills, superior learning capability, commendable cognitive

Instead, let’s break down each individual ingredient in Mind MD one by one so you can get a better understanding as to how this nootropic supplement really works!

thumbs up medical lab tests guy

1)  Bacopin (Bacopa Monnieri) 300 mg

Bacopa Monneiri or Brahmi is a potent antioxidant that effectively protects the brain against free radical damage.

Free radicals react with metabolites in our body but their reaction with fats perhaps leads to the worst damage: lipid peroxidation.

Lipid peroxidation causes considerable brain damage and is also related to Alzheimer’s disease!

Bacopin is anti-inflammatory in nature and can contribute to a healthier environment for your brain.

It also improves brain function by enhancing memory skills and learning – this is mostly related to the regulation of the production and release of neurotransmitters.

This cortisol-reducing herb is great for promoting a tranquilized yet energized state of mind.

Bacopin is a patented or trademark version of Bacopa Monneiri, which makes sure that the quality of this herb is top-notch!

2)  Curcumin C3 Complex (Curcuma Longa) 300 mg

Another trademark ingredient that is claimed to be the most extensively researched Curcumin in the market!

On their website, they also say that this patented complex has over 45 published studies!

The C3 stands for 3 calibrated curcuminoids combined with Bioperine for enhanced bioavailability!

This complex is known for promoting significant inflammatory fighting properties and also helps in damage repair once the inflammation has subsided – thanks to its antioxidant capacity.

It triggers the release of Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF), which effectively conquers brain damage whilst promoting memory skills!

This growth hormone is beneficial for a healthy brain.

Curcumin Longa has also demonstrated effectiveness in preventing Alzheimer’s disease – and also curing it to some extent!

And the benefits don’t just end here!

This C3 complex also combats signs and symptoms of depression to offer an elevated mood state!

3)  Phosphatidylserine 100 mg (ps)

This ‘brain-butter’ helps smoothen the functioning capacity of the cells in our body.

It ensures healthy mitochondria formation and also leads to amped-up Acetylcholine levels for optimum memory skills.

One of its most accredited advantages to the brain is that of boosting cognitive function and preventing its decline as well!

It contributes to the release of many essential neurotransmitters in our brain.

Phosphatidylserine also helps alleviate the signs and symptoms of anxiety and depression by reducing cortisol levels.

Supplement industries love to include Phosphatidylserine in their ingredient list because it boosts the effectiveness of other ingredients in the bottle!

And this particularly applies to Curcumin.

Curcumin and Phosphatidylserine form a synergistic harmony to magnify each other’s effects!

4)  High Catechin Green Tea 30 mg

Green tea is amazing on its own as well.

It is rich in the amino acid L-Theanine which replenishes the body’s antioxidant needs and also gives the brain the relaxation it needs!

The main catch here is the high catechin component in this.

Technically, you’re getting a more potent version of green tea!

Green tea is great for weight loss, it speeds up the metabolism and also washes out harmful toxins in our body.

Green tea that has a high catechin content also plays a role in preventing cancerous diseases.

5)  Ashwagandha Extract 200 mg

One of those ingredients that I can easily vouch for!

Ashwagandha is an ancient herb that offers a large plethora of benefits.

Not only does it sharpen our areas that promote memory and cognitive skills but also protects the neuronal machinery that makes all this happen!

Ashwagandha works to dampen cortisol levels which lead to fat accumulation and stress.

It also modulates chemicals in the central nervous system to relieve man from anxiety and stress.

Studies suggest that this herb can also help the neuronal system expand and grow – which technically means you get to have a larger brain!

Its antioxidant and anticancer capacities have also been widely appreciated.

Using Ashwagandha is a natural way to promote fertility in males and enhancing libido in women!

This herb is also rich in minerals that lead to an increase in bone density – especially if taken with milk.

This, however, still needs to be studied further.

6)  Centellin Gotu Kola (Centella Asiatica) 75 mg

Gotu Kola holds a special place in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine.

It helps elevate the cognitive functioning capacity and also aids in its recovery after stroke!

It also helps in treating Alzheimer’s disease by shielding brain cells against amyloid plaques that arise in this condition.

The Gotu Kola is amazing for reducing depression and anxiety – and shows more promising effects for the latter.

Gotu Kola also helps with insomnia and other sleep disorders.

Its effects also extend to the circulatory system where it helps alleviate painful swellings and also reinvigorates the blood flow.

Henceforth, its use for treating varicose veins has been justified!

Although the following claim still needs further research, it is said that Gotu Kola diminishes the appearance of scars or stretch marks.

It also helps in accelerating the wound healing process!

Due to its anti-inflammatory nature, it helps relieve the joint pain that arises during arthritis.

7)  Rhodiola Rosea Extract 50 mg

The roots of this herb are very valuable, hence it has also been termed as ‘the golden root’.

Its foremost and widely appreciated claim is that of elevating the mood state.

It combats symptoms of anxiety, stress, and depression and also helps individuals struggling with chronic depression.

It has an anti-inflammatory nature and helps relieve fatigue!

Both of these properties help the brain function better and studies have shown that Rhodiola Rosea significantly enhances performance in people that have a tiring schedule.

Rhodiola Rosea also helps boost the endurance capacity, thus making it a great pre-workout edible!

Apart from the above-mentioned benefits, Rhodiola Rosea is also a neuroprotective agent that can come in handy in neurodegenerative diseases.

8)  Bioperine (Black Pepper Extract) 5 mg

Bioperine is becoming popular in the nootropic and supplement industry.

Its primary function is to increase the bioavailability or absorption of other ingredients that are formulated with it.

But it also has some features of its own!

This extract may promote weight loss by boosting thermogenesis, which is one way to enhance metabolism.

The active component in this extract is Piperine, which can boost the levels of Serotonin and Dopamine in the brain!

Piperine also boosts memory skills and raises the immunity bar!

When Should I Take The The Mind MD Broad Spectrum Cognitive Support Supplement & What Is The Dosage?

All the ingredients in the list are water-soluble except Phosphatidylserine – which would be better absorbed with a meal!

1MD is a nutraceutical company that is headed by physicians (hence the MD as a title for their company).

All their formulations are calibrated and produced under expert supervision.

At current, 1MD is run by 4 doctors who hold specializations in different fields of medicine.

Mind MD Review: My Final Thoughts / Conclusion…

I have little to dislike and a LOT to appreciate for this supplement.

Perhaps the foremost advantage would be that this company is in the hands of trusted clinicians – so there would be a sense of integrity and trust when one would decide to purchase these supplements.

However, this is their first nootropic supplement!

And not many people have tried it yet!

But as far as the ingredient list goes, it looks like a winner  to me, and right off the bat, I say it’s worth trying.

I can’t wait to find out whether or not MindMD will create hype in the nootropic industry!
